Children's Song ATC

This ATC was especially made for a partner on Swap-Bot who said she's collecting Children's books in different languages.

I chose a famous Israeli children's song Called "Tears Come Alone", sang by a boy telling of the girl he likes.

He gave her an apple, and a big nice flower, but she ate the apple, threw the flower on the ground and went off playing with another boy....

The kids are actually a rubber stamp that a very tallented woman named Kris made for my sister on a Swap-Bot swap... I loved it...

African Notebook

I participated in a swap on Swap-Bot, where I had to send my partner a package of candies and a handmade surprise related to things they wrote on their profile.

My partnet has this great love for Africa, so I decided to make her an African notebook, using my beloved old National Geogrephic magazines.

Cats & Kittens Postcards swap

For a while I used the back of my paper block as a surface to work on. I suddenly discovered that it looks really cool. I used a plastic bag to draw the cat on and put it all together...

Ik Hou Van Je

Ok, so I like this one too... this one's dutch.
Just colored the card, wrote on it with a pen and stamped it with my handmade foam stamp...

Ana Bahibak

I made this one for a Swap-Bot swap, Making ATCs that contain the word "Love" or the phrase "I love you" in three differet languages. That was the Arab one and my favorite...

Inspire Me Thursday - Intimacy

Mother's Love ATC, the strongest realtionship of living creatures.

The background is stamped with metal colors, then written with simple Sharpies brown shades: There's no love like Mother's love (in Hebrew).

The Mother & Baby figures were drawn on a different card, then cut and glued on the ATC.

Inspire Me Thursday - Square

Onw week too late, I finally got a chance to get to the office between all these holidays to scan some works.

Last week on Inspire Me Thursday, the theme was squares.
So I drew my squares only didn't get the chance to post them, so... here they are...

Genesis

OK, so I got carried away with the option of using the scanner at work, so?
These two were made for a swap called "Nature Moves You ATC" on swap bot... well... ofcourse..

Usually when I'm supposed to make one ATC per partner, I'm making two, 'cause it makes people happy, but this time, they got me really emotional and I just couldn't make more... phrases taken from Genesis (BeReshit)

Beauty ATCs

That was just for the fun, no swap or anything like that...
Just materials I had and a Carole King song ("Beautiful") palying in my head for days...

Wicked Witch Drawn Postcards

Some more of the Hand Drawn Postcard Swap

My First Vintage ATCs

So I participated in a swap called "Back & Forth ATC" on Swap-Bot.

The I dea was to send your partner and envelope with all kinds of materials, then they make you and ATC out of those materials.
The materials I got from my partner were very vintage-ish, and I had no other option but trying that style for once.

I still think it's not my style, but I did have lots of fun :)

So this time the mission was to make five postcards, hand drawn, for five different people... So I got a bit carried away, and made just a bit more than five (still trying to stop...), but I'll show here just a few examples...

my favorite...

Here I Go...

A blog??
I must say that sharing my life with strangers was a passing phase I had in high school which faded as I left my home to the army.
Then I found the idea of writing a blog sort of… embaressing. Not generally- for me.
Then my Sister,
Arbel, who I adore, as a person and as an Artist, opened her own on-line blog, to share her art work.
I found that rather cool, and thought "If I was an artist I'd want to have one myself".
But I'm not…

My First Meeting With ATC's
Few months ago my sister participated in an ATC swap on an Israeli artists forum.
What is an ATC, you ask? I did too. ATC stands for Artist Trading Card. These cards are a tiny and beautiful pieces of art, 3.5"x 2.5" sized.
My sister (a very talented artist, have I mentioned?) made these beautiful ATC's, and gave me one of them. For me that was quite
enough.. My Sister's ATC - Motherhood

A New Addiction
Then, about two months ago, my sister introduced me to this site called
Swap-Bot
You can swap everything there- From ATC's to Candies, with people all over the world.
So, after leaving art back in 8th grade, joining this site brought it back to my life. AND IT'S ADDICTIVE!
So now I have my own pieces of art, ATC's, book-marks, drawings etc, and a good reason to open an Art Blog of my own…

This might turn into an interesting jurney...
